Hi all,

Previously.. please sorry for my poor English. I use Photoshop CS6 with OS Windows 7 64-bit.

I have a question about the problem why my Properties tool is different from the others?

I follow some tutorials from youtube that show the Property tools look all the same, but really different than mine.

There is not so clear and confused me, or am I doing wrong..?

Here is the following Footage tutor I recorded, let's see:

Then, I try with 2 trials as follows:

MyTrial-1 => tried exactly as the guidance was given, but unlucky.

MyTrial-2 => I try another way, click Rounded Rectangle Tool + Shape mode > Path Selection Tool to click Round edges > but it's still not the same like tutor.. unhappy.

Well, can anyone help this, a thousand thanks before.

Correct answer

Thanks for quick reply. I have tried as you suggested, please look this screenshot:

As you see, I "Select the layer mask", then "Mask Edge" button displays Refine Mask. There are 5 draggable buttons, but all No effect at all.

Hi

Why have you added a layer mask, just select the shape layer and click on the Live Shape Properties icon

In the second screenshot you have a plain pixel Layer selected, so no editable properties.

In the third one a Shape Layer.

In the tutorial a Path and a Smart Object seem to be selected.

c.pfaffenbichler, I've a bit not clear.. Do you mean MyTrial-2 > I have Convert to Smart Object before Rounded Rectangle Tool, but there is No effect also on Properties screen. Sorry, can you give more details, please?

Thanks for replied, Ged Traynor.

Yes, that Property exactly what I'm looking for, but when I select Rectangle 1 in the Layers palette, there's no response at all, nor in the Properties does not change anything...
