I use Photoshop 2020 on Mac. Whenever I start using selection tool - lasso tool it selects everything correctly, but does not move the picture. I mean what I drew. I checked that I am using the correct layers and everything is correct. I can paint in photoshop, but not using the selection tool. Moreover I once lost the abbility to even draw. It's just started to loading forever after first brush stroke. I have a normal PC for photoshop. Reinstalling photoshop and restarting the computer does not help
If you have made a selection with one of the selection tools and you can't move it with the Move tool ("V"), then the first thing to look at is to see if you are on the layer you expect to be on. One possibility is that you are on a layer that is transparent where you have your selection.
There are other reasons, so if this is not it, show a screen shot with your Layers and Tools panels as well as your options bar for the Move tool.
