Question

The UI Font Sizes Aren't Increasing

Hello,

I just installed the latest version of Photoshop, and other Adobe apps, on my Win11 PC (everything is up to date). Because I use 4k monitors, as many others do, I need to make the UI font sizes larger so I can actually see them. New glasses would be good, but that's a whole other discussion. I've tried the medium and large settings, but these apparently do nothing. I also tried this when checking the "Scale UI To Font" option, but that doesn't seem to do anything either. I do not want to set the UI in Windows itself to a higher percent, as that defeats the purpose of large monitors.

The weird thing is this works absolutely great in Adobe Bridge; is there some similiar functionality in Photoshop as well? And if not, why the heck not? Why is this available in one app but not another?

Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate a definitive answer to this. Thanks much.

Hello,

I did reboot my PC since I changed the font size in the preferences section (this time I tried large fonts). Nothing has appeared to have changed.

Hi @loki999

Sorry for the delayed response! I hope the issue has been resolved by now. If not, I’d recommend trying a preference reset and then adjusting the UI Font Size setting again.

Here’s how you can do that (assuming you're on Windows):

  • Close Photoshop.
  • Navigate to the following folder:
    Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop [version]\Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • Rename this folder to:
    Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings.old
  • Restart Photoshop.
  • Go to Preferences > Interface and set UI Font Size to Large.
  • Restart Photoshop once more to apply the changes.

Let me know if this helps or if the issue persists. I'd be happy to assist further!

Regards,

Srishti
