This happens whenever I open an image in photoshop

Whenever I open an image (jpg, png, heic, etc) to begin work on it, regardless if from my laptop or from lightroom, the image opens up like the screenshots you see below. Super frustrating. Have to close the image and reopen.

   Model Name: MacBook Pro

  Model Identifier: MacBookPro18,2

  Chip: Apple M1 Max

Total Number of Cores: 10 (8 performance and 2 efficiency)

  Memory: 64 GB

  System Firmware Version: 7459.141.1

  OS Loader Version: 7459.141.1

Doesn't matter which version of Photoshop, it's been happening to me for well over a year and I'm on creative cloud and constantly updating.

Thank you!

Axel

Hi @axelgerber sorry to hear this.

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Thank you,
