After working for a few minutes on an open document in a floating window, it starts to jump behind the application interface. First you see the open document. Then I click on any area or tool outside the document window, then the doc jumps behind the application window. Then I have to minimize the app window so I can see the floating window and highlight it so it returns to the forefront. Why would it do this, and how can I stop it from happening? I don't want to "dock" the open document to the top bar, as I might be working on 3 or 4 open floating documents at any one time and I need them all visible.
Here is the link to a video that shows what happens: https://youtu.be/0V27MlLDets

If Photoshop starts behaving in abnormal ways, a good first step is to try resetting the preferences.
https://helpx.adobe.com/au/photoshop/using/preferences.html
Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.
