I do not have a college email .edu 
I"m a starving artist and this is really making things difficult for me to pay $70 per month, this is set up badly. 
I have other friends that don't do art for a living that say they are only paying $32 for both per month, even THAT'S too much, but I desperately need to switch things up here. 
so is there a better tier or something? HELP.

Also: I'm not sure where you found $70 per month unless you are look at the monthly plan that can be cancelled. The annual plan is not that high. That being said, what I said above is still cheapest if you are watching every dollar.

So you could afford $1000 up front, with additional costs for upgrades as they come, but not $10 a month, upgrades included? Those are the real numbers.

Or per the original post, $2000+ vs $30.

People tend to forget what these perpetual licenses actually cost. It was a major investment that had to be planned and budgeted well in advance. I used the master suite at the time, and it was like buying a new top-end camera.
