Question

Thumbnail images are not showing for either PSD or TIFF files

I just got a new laptop with the most updated softwares, e.g., Window and Photoshop. When I transferred photos into my laptop, thumbnails are showing in Photoshop. But after I edited certain photos and resave them in a new folder, thumbnails are not showing in PSD format at all. When I saved them in TIFF format, the thumbnail would show up initially but then they don't appear after I saved other photos.

I've searched the topics and checked out all the suggestions like Edit->Preference->File Handling and make sure all the correct options are checked as suggested. But the thumbnails just don't show. Does anyone have any idea? Does anyone from Adobe monitor this forum and can comment?

Thanks in advance!

"Does anyone from Adobe monitor this forum and can comment?"

Occasionally, your best option is the Bug section. However, this is not a bug; it's an issue specific to your machine.

Are you referring to the Start or Home screen in Photoshop? Could you please post a screenshot to help clarify the issue?

This is a photo of my folder where I save photos that I edited and thumbnails are not showing. I hope you can see the attached image.

I appreciate everyone who responded to my question but I'm at a loss why this has become a discussion about hidden extensions. I fixed that. But so far, I still don't know why my thumbnails are not showing. I checked my folder settings under Options and View. I tried all that and nothing works so far. It's odd because I have never encountered this issue before with previous laptops. If there's no other suggestion, I'll take it back to Geek Squad and ask them to install Codec as suggested.
Thanks!

See my answer from August 21. You need to install a codec to show the thumbnails in Windows OS.

No, this doesn't sound like my issue.
