Question

Timeline Frame Delay inconsistencies between CS6 and CC

Hi Guys,

I just recently upgrade to PhotoShop Creative Cloud. I had been using CS6 for several years.

I'm having an issue where animation playback in the Photoshop Timeline doesn't appear to by functioning correctly in the Creative Cloud version of PhotoShop. The playback is much slower in Creative Cloud relative to CS6 (using the same frame delay value). Strangely, this issue only occurs at specific frame delay settings. From "No Delay" through .07 Seconds of frame delay, there's no issue. However, as soon as I set the frame delay to .08 seconds, the playback becomes slow, slower than a .01 second difference would warrant. Unfortunately, I work at .09 seconds of frame delay.

I've tried running PhotoShop CS6 on the same computer, and this issue does not appear. As a test, I've exported .gifs from both programs to a web browser, and the .gifs are identical, but only play correctly in CS6.

I have a brand new computer with 32GB of Ram, a GeForce 1050, and I'm running both versions of PhotoShop from the same SSD (with plenty of available space).

Has anyone had this issue before?

Thanks for any assistance!
Nick

Also, the file size does not affect this issue. I've tried with large files and small files (<1mb), and the issue persists.
