Hello, Gurus.
I searched cannot find a solution. I'm working in Timeline (masking a converted video to make a transparent GIF). I use the space bar to drag around the screen to find bits that need to be cleaned up, etc. When I let go of the spacebar the GIF playback commences, holy cow this is annoying. I can't figure out how to disable the spacebar playback hotkey.
For the love of sanity, please help me!
Losing my mind.

There are two different behaviors associated with the Spacebar:
So, when you're intention is to drag around the screen to find bits that need to be cleaned up, press and hold the Spacebar down during that behavior.
Another option is to press "h" to switch to the Hand Tool to pan around the image and then "v" to switch back to the Move Tool and avoid the Spacebar entirely.

Press H and hold (or press H and Space and hold, it works on Win) what will switch temporary to Hand tool, when you are done release H.

Thank you for suggestion. This works, I will use H when working with Timelines. 🙂
