Too Much Information!

Annoying 'feature' using Edit>Distort on a selection is giving me a little black readout flag of angular change as I move a corner.

Failed - so far - to discern where this can be disabled, hoping other user(s) can direct my attention?

I want to see the pixels I'm pushing, not a black flag telling me how much I've moved 'em, that just gets in the way.

Preferences > show transformation values.

Preferences? They don't exist anymore, it's 'Settings' now:

Any hint under which 'Setting' those transformation values are lurking?

Well, it's still preferences in Windows.

Either way, it's under Tools.
