Tool Presets Default Location - Photoshop 2020 on Windows operating system

Hello, Photoshop cc2020 here

new behavior for cc2020 is that it *always* loads .tpl file from

C:\Users\*your_username*\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Adobe Photoshop 2020 Settings

so now when we make additions to our .tpl file, we must save file in the location above instead of saving file wherever we wanted. otherwise photoshop keeps loading up same old .tpl file on each launch and therefore .tpl file is never updated. only solution is to add some new tool presets, then save the new .tpl file to both the location above and then also to our own personal backup location (assuming we all keep backups of these kinds things). so now we must save twice.

old behavior was better. .tpl file was always kept current on each lunch of photoshop no matter where we saved our new .tpl file.

is there way to change location where photoshop loads up the .tpl file when it laucnhes?

Hi there,

I'm afraid it is not possible to change the default location of the tool preset location, however, you may post this question here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family This forum is directly monitored by our developers and they might suggest you something.

Regards,
Sahil
