Tool select lag on Magic Wand/Object Selection tool button

Thank you for the update and sysinfo @Untold Entertainment Inc.. Curious if you update to Ps 24.1.1 and your video driver which is 4 months old if you still notice this issue?

i followed the instructions and manually deleted my preferences after
closing Photoshop. i opened the program again, and then opened a jpeg file.
The Select Object tool appeared in the toolbar by default. i clicked it and
used it, then clicked and held on the marquee select flyout. i poked around
a little, simulating my regular usage patterns, switching between various
tools and then opening the flyout to choose the Magic Wand tool.

It's faster now for sure, but i'm still noticing that opening the flyout
that has Object Select/Magic Wand in it takes appreciably longer than
opening the Marquee tool flyout. The Object Select flyout feels "sticky." i
counted, and it appears to take twice as long to open as the Marquee tools
flyout. So if clicking and holding the marquee tool flyout takes 1 second
to see the flyout appear, the object select flyout takes 2 seconds.

It feels like only a matter of time and use before the Object Select flyout
gets back to its old slowdown tricks.

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
