Tools jump to iMac desktop

I'm working in Photoshop 24 on an iMac 24inch 2023, Apple M3 chip, Sonoma 14.1. Anytime I click on a tool from the tool bar it jumps out of the program to my imac desktop. I tried re-installing and have had no luck. Any recommendations?

There was a bug in macOS Sonoma that was the cause.

The solution is to install the macOS Sonoma 14.5 update

Also make sure Photoshop is updated to 25.9 as well.
