Transform area changes (bigger than actual shape)

When I try to scale some text, the area of the actual text changes suddenly. Any settings change that I accidentally could have made? @Ton Frederiks ? haha 😉

It looks like you are trying to change the size of area type - not point type. Click and drag for area type (paragraphs) and just click for point type (a single line of type). The text boxes behave very differently.

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Character, Options Bar, …) visible?

And maybe provide the file itself.

@Stef Goedhart there are two ways...

1. The proper way is using the text tool. Select the text with the text tool and change the size of the text through the character panel, control panel at the top, or keyboard shortcut for a MAC: Command Shift >  (for a PC, it's Control not Command)

2. If the text box is selected, and if you tak one of th corners of the bounding box, it scales the whole text box.
