Transparência Gradual em imagem

Amigos, estou com um problema no Photoshop 2024.
Alguém pode me ajudar?

Nas antigas versõesm, eu usava a ferramenta Degradé, com a opção de Transparênmcia, e conseguia deixar uma foto transparente.

No Photoshop 2024 o sofware está aplicando a transparência mas mantendo um fundo Branco na minha imagem - ou seja, não consigo a transparência para aparecer o fundo das camadas inferiores.

Are you sure you weren't adding a Layer Mask to the layer and then drawing the Gradient on the Layer Mask?

In the old versions, I used the Gradient tool, with the option of Transparency, and I was able to make a photo transparent.

In Photoshop 2024 the software is applying transparency but keeping a white background on my image - that is, I don't get the transparency to show the background of the lower layers

Your layer arrangement are not going to produce and transparency.  If I run a white to transparent gradient down the image and above the background layer, then I would get exactly what you are seeing.

If you turn off the background layer then you would see transparency which you could save as a layered PSD document or PNG with transparency.

To get transparency behind the wind farm and solar panels you would need to use a layer mask with a black to white gradient.

So you are saying I must make a solid gradient from black to white on the layer mask?
Sorry, I'm new in this version of Photoshop.
