Trouble Exporting

Backstory:

original MP4 videos look great on my phone or Laptop when I use basically any viewer that I viewed them with, full screen etc.

I imported several of the MP4 videos, edit them. They look smaller in Photoshop for some reason

I Render them and they rendered small with a black background. 

I am very new to Photoshop so any help in Laymans terms would be much appreciated.

Could you please post a screenshot taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, Timeline, …) visible? 

What are the video’s original pixel dimensions? 

What is the resolution of the image you imported to?
