Trouble linking bridge and photoshop for batch edits

New Here ,
Jan 03, 2020 Jan 03, 2020

I just upgraded to Bridge and Photoshop 2020. My previous software (2019) allowed me to batch edit select photos in bridge with photoshop actions. The new updates seem to have that lack of communication on both sides- even tried automating in photoshop with the source of bridge and it wont allow. Pic included for reference. Anyone else have this issue or now how to solve? Thanks! Screen Shot 2020-01-03 at 11.44.13 PM.png

Open Bridge and select a few files. Then go to Tools > Photoshop > Batch. Does this work? If it does, the scripts are running and everything is basically working as it should.

My advice would be to disable the home screen in Photoshop, it does nothing but confuse and hide how things really work. Relying on it to show your files is very dangerous, because it doesn't work like a file browser like Bridge does. It's just dead and static links. If the file is moved or deleted, the home screen has no idea. It just keeps pointing to an empty location.
