Trying to change font with Khmer language

So I'm trying to make a poster with Khmer. However whenever I try to change the font, the letters turn into squares. I can change color and size, just not the actual font. How can I fix it? Thank you.

What operating system and version of photoshop are you using?

What font are you using?

On windows 10 with photoshop 2021, there seems to be several fonts that support the Khmer language towards the bottom of the font list in photoshop.

In addition to what Jeff said, be sure to use the World Ready Layout from the Paragraph panel menu. Read this Help page for details:

What typeface are you using now and what are you trying to change it to?
