Trying to decipher numbers/text in an historic photograph

I use Photoshop for creative projects, but am trying to help my spouse with a research project. He wants to decipher the text/numbers in the attached photograph. Some text/numbers are obvious, but others are obscured.

Any ideas how to manipulate the photo in Photoshop to help reveal this information?

I am afraid it would take someone with experience on the specific subject matter to make authorative guesses.

Looks like Cyrillic markings on a military vehicle to me (but I am no specialist, so I might be mistaken), there could be a nomenclature that can help determine one (or more) plausible interpretations.

It was telling me that the upload was too big, so I have spread it over a couple of posts.

My attached image has been upscaled four times with Topaz Photo Ai. I have also added a copy of the blue channel, with enhanced contrast. It might give you a fighting chance.

Hi Trevor. Thank you for taking the time to work on this. I think those images are helpful to deciphering the text/numbers. My spouse knows how to interpret the text/numbers, but it just a matter of trying to get better clarity between the layers of stenciling over the years. Again, many thanks.
