I recently decided to try and make my first gif with the timeline feature and was able to do so without problems, later however when I attempted to export the gif I couldn't find it in my file finder. After making a few efforts to export the documents with different settings (all of which should be with the .gif file type) I found out all of these images were being saved as .html files and they were blank. I've tried opening them in chrome, photos, and sublime but the files just appear empty. (programming software)
I still have the file in Photoshop but when I export it my computer turns it into a blank html file.

[edit] after trying to rename the files or move them out of file finder the files disappear entirely.

Are you trying to put a dot in the name of your GIF? Are you typing .gif at the end of the name?

I am not.
