Im trying to reproduce a gradient I created several times in the last year but each time the result is too hard, whatever I do i just cant find a way to get the result i need - any ideas... Im posting screen shots of what I need to do and what is happening....

The top is the default result and the bottom is what i need -

Any suggestions gratefully received! (I will save it in future)

What is the image’s Color Space?

    What is the Layer Structure?

Is »Dither« checked for the Gradient Layer?

    thanks...

Thank you - I knew most of the above but I hadnt thought of using gaussian blur to soften it! You hit the nail on the head - I think I must have created a white gradient on top of the purple as this seems to match what I have already and is softer!

Many thanks as this was brilliant and appreciate the time you have taken.

Ive been playing with opacity (as if Ive really got time to do this) and the sliders but I still cant reproduce that fist gradient - Ive even tried copying in from illustrator... its that centre point and the smoothness into the 100 % purple - interesting annoying problem!

thanks for all the help tho!!
