Turning shadows into reflections

I have an idea that I'd like to try out, but I have a question first. Is there a way to turn a shadow into a reflection using the 3D functions?

Hi

The 3D functions rely on having a model in 3D space. The reflection can therefore have a different viewpoint from the direct light, just as in real life. Can you post an image and we can perhaps suggest the best way to make a reflection.

I don't have anything specially, just about idea. what I'm thinking about is placing a transparent object, like a square or something with some kind of texture or image, in front of a light, and project a that image onto another object
