Are you talking about an actual Type Layer?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

If you double-click on the text you should be able to edit the text. Can you share the steps on how you're trying to edit the text?

Hi, thanks for your input. I do the double click all the time. Only when I
do that now, it starts a new type layer.
So I can't edit an existing type layer.
Cheers.

Double-click the T icon in the Layers panel. Does that work?

Yes, it's an existing type layer. When I try to edit the type, it automatically starts and new type layer on top of my existing.

It's not happening on all the files, just one at the moment. It has happened before, but sorted itself ouf when I closed up and restarted. Didn't do so this time.

I'm afraid I can't do screen grabs as the page has IP sensitive info on it. Sorry about that. Appriciate the help.

Create a new file that shows the problem.

My suspicion is that you no longer have a type layer, that its been rasterized. What happens when you double-click in the Layers panel?

I think that could have been it. There was no "T" in the layers section on that layer, so I guess I must have rasterized it. Much appreciated. Time to get some work done! Cheers all!

And a meaningful screenshot would have shown that! (edited)

As you work with Photoshop blurring or mosaicing sensitive elements should not have been a problem.
