The type tool is not working. I click to type something but the letters do not appear. The type layer is created though.

It's a bug. I figured out how to solve it. Simply click one of the other text align options than the one it is set to, and the text will magically appear.
Votes
Hitting "Reset paragraph" in the Paragraph dialogue did the trick! It must have been set to something strange for some reason.
