I've installed PS CC from my local Creative Cloud, so the language of UI is not English. Can I change the language of UI?

I did not uninstall the previously installed PS CC ...  after redownloading process reached to 11% for the new language, I cancelled it for now. I will try it again tomorrow. But, it seems to me that it will not be so quick )) Thanks a lot PE.

If you need make your Photoshop interface to default english you need make several simple things.

Go to where you installed Photoshop and find your locale folder, eg.

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Locales\xx_XX\Support Files

find file tw10428.datand change it's extension from tw10428.dat to tw10428.dak. Restart Photoshop, your menus are in English.

xx_XX -  folder will be named as "ru_RU", "pl_PL", etc - it's depend from your previously install

Hello, it is supposed to follow the language of your operating system. You need to go change the preferences of the installer to switch to English.

Can we have any option for switching between languages temporarily?

Firstly, we're talking about the interface language, not the language for which I'm designing. These should be independent, no matter what. And I should be able to choose the language in which I'm designing on the fly.

I do understand what you're saying about typographical standards, but it's rediculous to consider that this couldn't be in a localization file.  What I don't understand is how Photoshop doesn't need to use localized typographical standards while Illustrator does. For InDesign, that makes slightly more sense

Further, I know for fact that the standards are the same between English and Spanish, so there is literally no reason that I should have to completely uninstall and reinstall in order to change the interface from Spanish to English, even if what you claim is in fact the hurdle, except for poor design, which is unusual for Adobe.

Finally, I'm certiain that I'm not the only designer that needs to operate in more than one language. In fact, I know that there are some workarounds in order to be able to have the interface language be English while designing in Japanese, two languages with obviously differing typographical conventions. (Should be unsurprising that people need to use both English and Japanese in a designed document.) Unfortunately, that interface workaround involves changing the OS language, which is an unacceptable workaround.

This is a big deal and it needs to be fixed.  I spent 6 hours today fighting this. Adobe isn't supposed to be costing me time, it's supposed to be making my design life easier.

Perhaps this may help:  Change the Interface language without uninstall/reinstall.
