Question

unable to customize tools or restore default

I have upgraded to the latest version of adobe photoshop and am unable to locate the healing brush tool.  A look through the forums told me that I needed to customize my toolbar and said to click onto the 3little dots at the top of the tool bar.  I didn't have these three little dots, but instead had a bandaid,  when I clicked on that a number of tools came up but nothing to say "restore defaults".  I clicked on the healing brush tool and it took pride of place where the three dots should be, but I still can't use it.  I'm so lost here.... spending a lot of time trying to work out how to just do a simple 'clean up' of a photo.  HELP....

ps:  I tried to add a screen shot but can't find how to add it here, sorry.

See the picture for finding the healing tools and the 3 dots....

...and changed to the "Spot healing" tool:

The small triangle shows that there are additional tools to be discovered with a long-click.
