Unable to edit anything

New Here ,
Sep 15, 2022 Sep 15, 2022

I'm not sure what's happened but every time I go to use the programme, be that editing an image or whatever, I open the image and then the entire background (which is normally grey) surrounding the image disappears and I can see the home screen page. The photoshop tools no longer function and I am left not being able to use the programme. I have deleted and redownloaded the programme many times, updating it to the newer releases but the problem still persists.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a

That is definitely not supposed to look like that.  How much space and RAM do you have on the device, because it almost looks like some serious lag going on, not loading up the file all the way.  But, I could be totally wrong.

Hi. Please check if your computer meets (at least) the recommended requirements: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

You can try resetting the preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset_preferences
