Unable to install CS6 on new Windows 10 computer

Question

Please help! I just purchased a new computer with Windows 10 Home. I have my CS6 Extended CD and get the message: Adobe Photoshop CS6.exe Fatal Application PID=4156,Wow64.cpp@483

So disappointing! I have tried compatibility mode with windows 8 and 7, no luck. I'm logged in as administrator. If it is just incompatible. Can anyone recommend a similar product? I admin a couple of church websites. Thanks-

This is the forum for Adobe Audition, Adobe's audio editor. You need to repost in the Photoshop forum I think.

As an aside, I have Audition CS6 (so part of the same suite) successfully installed and running under Windows 10 Pro

Well, CS6 is not technically certified to run on Win10. It's no longer sold, supported or updated.

That said, quite a few people do have it running on Win10. See links below:
