I have tried copying the text from chatgpt to a Notes and then take a copy of that and trying to paste taht into Photshop but nothing happens?

Hey, @Jacob Thygesen. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.

I've tried copying and pasting from the AI agent mentioned and various others, but the issue does not exist in my tests. You can try pasting the prompt in the URL bar of your web browser to clear any formatting or embedded hyperlinks in the text.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

On macOS Photoshop 2025, looks like there's a ~500 character limit to the Generate Image:"Describe the image you want to generate" field, and that the interface is a bit broken. Paste 501 characters into the empty text field, and there's no indication the paste happened at all (as if copy/paste buffer was empty), but paste fewer than 500 characters and all works as expected.  What should happen with >500 character paste (but currently does not): show the first 500 characters of the paste. A more helpful text entry field would show all the characters pasted, with the over-limit characters in red, plus some kind of dynamic character counter warning.  Similar happens when pasting 201 characters when 300 characters are already present.   Of course, over time, allowing prompts > 500 characters would be very helpful.

 Using version: Photoshop 26.4.1 20250225.r.194 4c5f14b arm64 on macOS 14.7.4 (M2 Max).

Thanks for sharing this, @bazzers. The character limitation for the Generate Image is indeed 500 characters. I'll share this feedback with the team that the Generate image window should indicate the character limit.

Meanwhile, you can try the Generative Workspace in Photoshop (beta), which does not have a character-limited description. I just tested it with 6k characters.

Thanks!
