Photoshop does not display Paper Source in the Print Menue on Mac OS using Epson P5000 Com Printer. It defaults to Roll Paper.

I do not own this printer model, but I have a macbook running 10.14.6

Under System Preferences, what type of paper is the default for this model?

Is roll paper the default for all apps or just Photoshop?

Hi Tom

I have a similar problem printing with photoshop with Epson SCP900.  I set the paper source on the printer (there are 3 options..roll, front and top/rear) . using roll paper when I send the print I can paper misfeed error on the printer . I have been advised that the printer driver (using epsons for monterey and not airprint) overides the paper source on the printer. I cannot find any option for paper source when printing from photoshop. I can can when I use epson print layout. Tom did you solve your problem? The steps link provided by gener7 did not resolve.

You need to be SURE that you have the Epson driver, so we can see that please post a screenshot of the paper names under media options in printer settings

I hope this helps

Hi Neil

thanks for your response. I have now found how to select paper source (thanks to a post of yours) . On monterey in photoshop it shows as side arrows against standard paper sizes. However there are still a couple of issues.

1. The epson SCP900 (called 906 in OZ) has 3 ways to feed paper-roll, front feed for thick papers (over300gr according to epson) and top feeder. As you will see from screen shot only roll and front show up as options to select when printing in photshop. What has happened to the top feeder option for less thick paper?

2. For non standard paper sizes  see sample in screen shot eg roll paper 17x38inch there are no paper source/feed options showing. Previously when tried to print this non standard size from a 17" roll in photoshop got a paer feed error in the printer. Had to resort to Epson print layout.

any advice appreciated.

cheers

If Epson's driver software misses features you see as available in the Epson Print Layout software you'll need to contact Epson. or save the time and just use the Epson Print Layout software. Is there a reason you don't like the Epson Print Layout software?

It could be that [in the driver] the front feed option is only available when you've selected a thick media in media options.

I hope this helps

By the way AFAIK you can't print 17" x 38" on a 17" roll because Epson imposes small borders. Edge to edge printing is a pain because by default they slightly enlarge the image - don't ask me why.
