I've recently upgraded to CC after using older Adobe software for a very long time and I'm unable to see the pixel grid in my current version (23.5.5).
I've checked previous posts on this and tried what has been advised (show extras options & resetting preferences on quit) and am still unable to see any 'show pixel grid' option anywhere.
I know I can set my grid to pixels in preferences but this is no use as I'm always needing to use a different measurement for that and heavily rely on the pixel grid being visible at all times due to very precise artworking that is literally down to the pixel. I'm not going to change the preferences every time I need to zoom into pixel view...
Pretty unimpressed by this seeing as PS is a pixel-based program! There must be a solution to this?
Thats why you cant use Pixel Grid - your GPU is not compatible and is not being used. The Pixel Grid requires an active GPU.

Hi @A.Bletch any reason you are not on current Photoshop 24.7?
You can try going to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.

Hi Kevin,
My iMac (late 2013) isn't able to support the latest OS so I can't get the latest version.
I've just tried this 'Disable Native Canvas' and still no dice.

What does your computer show when you go to Preferences/Performance? Is the GPU recognized and active?

Thanks that's useful to know (although very annoying).
Is there anywhere I can find out what the last version of Photoshop that my graphics card supports is?
Cheers

Honestly if you have a 2013 Mac - that is the first year CC came out.
I would start with Photoshop 2019 and work your way back using this link: https://prodesigntools.com/
PDT offers direct download links from Adobe servers from 2019 back. CC2020 + are only available via CC Desktop app but those are too new anyway.
