Unblur text challenge

Hey all,

I have a personal quest here and I'm hoping some brilliant person here can help. I've been trying to ID the book in this photo off-and-on since it was taken in 2010. It's way beyond my skills to get anything readable from the text on the back, but I figure software is getting better and better and maybe there's a way. If anyone can figure out anything the book says on the back, I would be so excited and forever grateful.

I attached the original and cropped versions.

Thank you!!

There is nothing left to retrieve when the pixels aren't there — as in these photos. You might ask the two people for the name of the book.

Did you mean to check all the categories? If so, how does your question apply to iPadOS, Actions, Scripting, and SDK? We can remove the tags for you.

I agree with Jane, this is impossible. Not even Topaz Gigapixel AI can make the text readable.

According to the metadata, this photo was taken with a Canon IXY Digital 95S, which appears to be a 10 megapixel camera.

If you can get your hands on the original jpg, there's a slightly better chance of being able to read the text.

The image you posted is only 1600 x 1200 pixels, while a large jpg from the camera is 3648 x 2736 pixels.

Thanks for your input. This is the original image - the camera must have been set to medium-resolution. Guess I'm out of luck.

Can confirm. No good news.

I tried recovering the bar code to see if the ISBN number (=what is used to ID a book) was still readable but nope...

You could ask the people in the picture or go to a good book store and describe the book hoping it rings a bell with them.

Best of luck! 🙂

All right - I wasn't sure if there was anything retriveable in the pixels. The person reading the book is me as a teen, and the book was one I found for free at a hotel we stayed at on an international trip, so there's no one to ask. I've already googled and used websites where I input everything I can remember from the book. Thanks though.

No, I didn't intend to select all the categories; nothing was selecting when I first tried so I started clicking randomly and I guess it got them all. Feel free to remove.
