Undocking Panels Issue

Since an update sometime in July I have an issue with undocking panels. When I close them and reopen them they already appear docked wherever they were before. I can only seem to move them withing the group they already are. But I cannot pull them away to be free-floating panels or move them to another group.

Is there any fix to this issue?

Hello, What is your version of MacOS? and Photoshop? (check in help>system info...)

How do you interact with photoshop? mouse, trackpad, tablet? if the latter, which brand, model, driver version?

I just tested this and am not seeing the same issue. When I undock a panel it remains where I left it. Have you signed out and back in? Is it one document or all documents?

I've signed in and out, I've restarted the program and my computer multiple times, and fiddled around with the settings. It's all documents, so it's not a document-specific setting that's causing the issue.
