Update Failed in Creative Cloud

So recently I installed a new SSD on my PC, I did backups of Lr and Ps, backed up my images and all the rest. I decided on a clean install of CC, LR and Ps. All fine so far, I installed Lr with no problems but whe  it came the turn of Ps i was told I need to update windows 7 to SP1. I ran my updates and then tried the Ps install again, same error. I checked my update history and found that i didnt update to SP1. Then ran update again and made sure I has SP1 installed and running. Around this point I had a GPU fail on me during a Lr backup(not sure if this is related). I replaced the GPU, installed drivers and everything working...Except Photoshop.

I kept getting an error saying I need SP1 when I already have SP1. Over and over, I checked the FAQ and did everything they said, still the same error. Here it gets a little less legal. I then installed a pirated version of Ps, registered it with my CC app and it works(i figured I'm already paying for the product). But I still cant update it.

When i select update from CC app it says update failed, windows update from Microsoft required to install this product is not available on this computer. Please install the required updates.

The 'more information' button just tells me i must do what i have already done without success.

The fact that the pirate version of Ps installed tells me some error code is stopping me from updating or installing via CC app.

System specs

Windows 7 64bit

Core I5 2500k

GTA 1060 GPU

32 GB ram

Ok so here's what I did.

Uninstalled Lr, Ps and CC and ran CC cleaner as per D Fosse (thanks dude)

That in itself didn't fix the problem but it did lead me to the source of the problem. While running CC cleaner I found that  "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0-dll" was missing, a quick search showed me people using various editing software have the same problem, now adobe does have on its website that this specific problem is solved by updating W7 but for me that didn't work.

Then I downloaded vc_redist from Microsoft, restarted and tried Adobe Ps again, this time it worked.

This video is the one that helped out the most

    The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-I 1-O.dll - YouTube

I possibly have a solution (*ill let you know once I have confirmed that it is working)

One of the errors I kept getting is "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0-dll" is missing. I downloaded vc_redist from Microsoft, ran it nd now it's downloading Ps. I did run the recommendation above but with no success after uninstalling. Willlet everyone know once all is working.

Sounds like the cleaner tool might be in order. Sometimes leftover files may interfere with new installation attempts, and the cleaner tool will hunt everything down and remove it.
