Updated to Photoshop 2020. Program running slow.

Didn't have any problems with poor performance for older versions, and I already replaced my preferences, but it's still running slow. Any ideas?

      It's not just you, buddy. PS 2020 is unusable. I am used to the 2018 version, and that's what I'm reverting back to. I read through some threads and it seems that PS 2020 is bugged as hell, but nothing has been done to address it.

      I've also recently upgraded to the latest version of Photoshop and it has been a nightmare ever since. Even opening a document takes a long time and making basic transformations, applying filters, more or less doing anything results in a lag and the colour wheel appearing! Whatever they have done, they've screwed up big time. I'm sure there will be a fix soon (otherwise they'll have real issues with memberships) but for the meantime I'm reverting back to an older version.
