Due to a bug in Content Credentials (Beta) between April 11th and May 2nd, exported Content Credentials produced during this time period are not fully compliant with the 1.0 C2PA standard.

The fix is now implemented and newly exported Content Credentials will no longer be impacted.

What this means for impacted users and images:

  • Images with Content Credentials attached during the time period will not validate on 3rd party displays (Verify will continue to display as normal)
  • Any "Assets Used" that were placed with an existing Content Credential issued during the time period will show as invalid

Please reach out with questions or comments as we continue to roll out updates to Content Credentials (Beta).
