Updating Multiple Smart Objects from One Master Smart Object w/in Artboard?

Hi everybody,

I work a great deal with ads. I've recently been asked to build a number of large sets 20+ in Figma. Figma has something called components where you can make a Master component (e.g. Logo etc) and then have several of them link to that Master component. So if you want to swap out an entire set of logos, you just update the Master and al of them have the ability to update.

I've worked with a few PSD vendor templates that use smart objects that are saved in a "links" folder and title treatments and backgrounds canbe replaced across multiple artboards.

Does anybody have any further resources on that sort of method for building ads (or repetitive art) in artboards? I'd really like the ability to do the same thing that's available in Figma, in PSD.

If you create all the ads as artboards in one document you don’t need Linked Smart Objects and Embedded Smart Objects would suffice.

If any of the ads are intended for print you may want to create them with Indesign (or Illustrator) instead of Photoshop.
