Urgent - Clone Tool Preview gone AGAIN - Only turning off Use Graphics Processor fixes it

23.0.01 and 23.0.02 both have a serious bug where the Clone Stamp Tool and Healing Tools do not show their previews once a sample has been taken.
Resetting the tool doesn't work. This is a GPU problem (like always). Turning off "Use Graphics Processor" brings it back. Different combos 'Use OpenCL / Ant-alias / 30bit Display' provide different glitchy results.

This is an urgent as you've wiped out a lot of professional retouchers by releasing this unstable release.

Do you by chance have another machine with a macOS 11 or 12 on it. Engineering believes there are known issues on 10.15 that seem to have been only addressed in newer versions of macOS.

Confirmed that the problem is still there using Apple Magic Mouse only and Intus Pro disconnected.
An interesting observation: it seems possible to momentarily bring back the overlay by zooming in or out. However it doesn't lost long after a subsequent zoom for it to go.

OK. Put that setting back to what it was. Do you have the same problem with the Clone tool overlay just using just a standard mouse? (trying to narrow down if its with a stylus/tablet only)

Just tried it. And it sort of worked, momentarily, but then it stopped.
When it did work, pen pressure didn't work any more (using an Intuos Pro), it was effectively applying 100% flow even though I had 10% set and use pen pressure selected.
Now all I have is generally very eratic display in Photoshop. Everything flickers when zooming and I get a bizarre chopping up the image I'm working on which goes if I zoom in/out.
Looks like you've hit the right nerve though.

One other diagnostic to try: Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Restoring preferences as per that guide did not help. The procedure worked as everything was back to default.
