Use legacy “New Document” interface is grayed out in Photoshop CC 21.1

I'm using the latest version of Photoshop and it's been going great so far. But when I open it up it shows the old legacy "new document" interface which drives me crazy. And when I want to un-check it. It's not possible because it's grayed out. Here is the preview:-

What I have tried so far.

  1. I installed and re-installed it
  2. Checked and unchecked all the boxes near it (In the general tab only to know if it will be released but no)
  3. And have reset the Preferences (edited)
  4. Have checked the "Load extensions panel" (edited)
  5. Uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop after cleaning up with the CC cleaner tool (edited)
  6. Added a new user account (admin) to try it but to no avail

Please, what could be the issue? Thanks in advance

Hi

I don't actually work for Adobe, I just help out on the forum, the only other thing that I could think of is to downgrade to version 21.0.3 via the CC app, there are a few issues with version 21.1 which have been reported both here and on the feedback forum

I know this isn't particularly helpful, but after going through this whole thread I just closed and reopened and now it's back to normal. So if you haven't already, do that, may save you some headache.
