Using Adobe Photoshop standalone version of CS5 or CS6 under Unix

I have been using the standalone versions of Adobe Photoshop CS5 and CS6 with Windows 7 but now that 7 is not going to be kept current by Microsoft I'm wondering if Unix can be used with the two Photoshop standalone versions instead of Win 7.  HELP!

Even though you can get photoshop cs5/cs6 to run under wine on a linux machine, they generally run

better on a real windows operating system and without all the hassle of getting a proper Wine enviroment setup.

Many users are able to run cs5/cs6 perfectly well under windows 10 and you can upgrade your windows 7 to windows 10 for free at the time of this post.

I use CS6 on Windows 10.

You would just want to keep the machine running Windows 7 along with PS CS5 and CS6 as long as possible.

In the same way that you've still be able to use CS5/6 this entire time, you'll still be able to run Windows 7.

Of course, you'll be locked in to what can or can't be done with WIN7.

It should run on WINE, and it is perfectly legal to do so.

However I'm hoping WINE Photoshop users here can provide some information.
