Where exactly do you see the serrated lines? If you see them when you zoom in maybe you see the actual pixels.

Hi,

Herewith the result of rotating with the crop tool. The serrated edges of the straight lines correspond to the grid.

Hey! Just to be sure: is it possible that the transformation is not committed yet? So, after cropping, hit Enter or Return to commit the transformation. Usually the serrated edges are gone then. Hope this helps!

Hi Rob,

Did you see my examples? What is your conclusion?

We need more details. What exactly you want to do? You can "straighten" image while cropping or use Straighten tool. I am affraid you will loose some details.

Another way is using free transform from Edit > Free Transform or Ctrl + T. When using free transform you can manage to keep all details by filling blank space using clone and heal tools in Photoshop.
