Using Fill with the Lasso Tool leaves a shadow

I've noted in the latest release of Photoshop 26.3.0, there appears to be a bug when using the lasso tool.

When using this tool and marking the bottom of a photo (as in filling out a block of area), if you select Fill (content aware, 100%) it will leave a residual around the edges of the framed area. This does not occur if you use Generative Fill.

I've included a photo to illustrate this. I blocked off an area at the bottom of the photo with the lasso tool, and then filled as described above. The black edges remained on the lef and right sides as well as the bottom of the image.

Any ideas why this should start happening now?

Hey, @JamesLeslie99. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share a video of the issue and the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Also, thanks for adding the screenshot, but it isn't helping, as it's been rendered by the Community platform now.

Does it behave as mentioned after a specific set of steps? What troubleshooting steps have you tried already?

Also, please

Also, please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Thanks!

Hi Sameer:

Thank you for your reply. Here's the actual image. Look at the bottom and about an inch up each side on the right and left. Let me know what you think.
