Version 24.2.0 Made Photoshop Unusable Until I....

Before the last update, to 24.2.0 Photoshop worked o.k with an OCASSIONAL lagging and flashing of the monitor.
With this update the lagging/freezing and monitor flashing was every time I moved my mouse over layers or tool.  It made it impossible to use.

I got it back to usable by reducing my refresh rate of my monitor from 240hz to 120hz.  It seems that

this Photoshop update can't handle high settings.

I hope this helps anyone else having this issue.

I've updated Photoshop to 24.2.1.  Set the refresh rate back to 240hz and the problem returned.

Hopefully the next update will resolve this.

I'm now on 24.6 and it still can't handle  240hz.

@Stanley_W

Does your GPU support DirectX 12? If not, try this:

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews > Enable "Deactivate Native Canvas" > Restart Photoshop
