Dear Adobe,

What's up with the "thousands" versions of the same Apps?  It's getting ridiculous, my computer is flooded with a hundred version of different Adobe softwares,  sure, I can manually delete the old versions, but you are updating your apps so often and I am not even able to keep track of which versions are the latest.

Then there is the issue the file can't be opened in old version once it's opened in new version thingy...   What happened to the old Adobe that launch new fully stable version once a while?  not every two days.

This issue is getting out of hand, you really need to put some effort on dealing with. Not because you have one new feature, you instantly launch Photoshop 2099.

Sincerely.

Sam

When you install there is a checkbox to remove old versions. But many of us like to keep the old version around for a bit, until we're confident it all works smoothly.

As for new files not opening in old versions - that's because the new file may have properties that didn't exist in the old version. Photoshop is the most forgiving in that regard, but the new file may need to be flattened to open in old versions. If you save with "maximize compatibility", a flattened composite is embedded in the file for that purpose.
