The pen pressure control has an exclamation mark in a triangle in Brush settings. I've unistalled and re-installed the Wacom driver several times. I found several fixes and solutions online for Windows users but none for Mac.
I updated Photoshop, restarted each time. I did a system update yesterday - I am on OS Monterey 12.7 (I included screen shot with specs) and the pen pressure worked briefly in Photoshop. I can't quite tell what made it work I was trying many different things. But today I noticed it's not seeing the pressure anymore and the exclamation mark is back. I have no more updates to do. I re-installed the driver, I rolled back on older versions of Photoshop. I turned on and off the wacom drivers the Accesibility / Security & Privacy / system preferences again.. restarted several times. How can it break without me doing anything to it (other than use it)? I've reset the brushes settings, that didn't help.
The brushes I am using are from the Kyle's Websters collection Paint & Ink brushes - Kyle's Paintbox Big Streak 2 is one of them. I had a go with more basic ones, no success.
I can confirm the pen pressure works well with brushes in Illustrator, so it's not a hardware/pen / tablet issue. I have no other issues with the pen, I am using it all the time.
Any suggestions are much appreciated. thank you!

I should add that I also followed Wacom's directions on what to do. There is a section on their site dedicated to this issue.
It hasn't solved the problem. My tablet is an Intuos Pro Small PTH-451 thanks!

Hi- I have been dealing with this same issue for awhile & done similar fixes as you listed and it did not work. ( also working with wacom tablet)
I found this fix video- the description also has a link that has more detailed instructions that works for windows & mac.

This fix worked instantly for me, photoshop even updated the brush previews to show the 'tapered' pressure sensitive brushes & no longer get that exclamation point error thing in the brush panel, no more struggling with presets and uninstalling wacom drivers.
I hope this works for you- such a frustrating issue to have.

I've switched back to Photoshop 24.0 and an old Wacom driver (Driver 6.4.1-3, I'm on Windows) and my pen pressure finally worked. I hope this works for you too if you still have this problem.
