Question

wacom pen very sensitive in photoshop

I'm using a wacom tablet with the latest version of photoshop which I installed about a month ago.

Sometimes it works fine (when I've just opened the application) but after a while it becomes hyper sensitive - just almost impossible to use in photoshop - particularly with the magnifying glass and the selection tool. It's hard to explain but it's hyper / everything gets selected / as the pen passes over something, it draws a shape / zooms out. It doesn't happen in other applications - like Lightroom and it didn't happen with the old version of photshop, so I'm pretty sure it's not the pen.

It's bringing on an RSI in my hand. I can't use a mouse because of RSI.

Any ideas?

me too! I use my pen for everything, I hardly ever select a mouse as i'm flicking between designing and various software all the time. There's a lag which means when you're selecting to drag and drop or especially on text, it's double clicking so files open instead of moving, text selects a whole line or more and you can't get the cursor to stay where you want, it's like you have a sticky pen, it's all over the place and extremely annoying. I've changed pen settings numerous times and it's no use, am at the end of my rope, it's so frustrating!

By the way, it's not just a photoshop issue for me

@Nikky26171419b5y2 if the issue isnt isolated to Photoshop I would focus on the driver settings and updates compatible with your OS.

@bell66411662 have you tried adjusting the Wacom settings in the driver?

Hi- yes of course - I've put back to default settings.

also - I would say that most times when I open photoshop it works fine for a while (using the wacom tablet) and then after a while, I run into these problems and it starts being very hyper. Maybe it's a memory / CPU problem with photoshop?
