Windows 10, Photoshop 25.7, 2021 Asus ROG laptop, all drivers up to date
Suddenly and randomly, in the last month trying to do any action with a Wacom pen that involves dragging (tho not painting/brushing which is OK) becomes a massive pain due to lag. Especially noticable using free transform or marquee tools combined with a modifier key. I can perform a gesture (a scale movement for example) and sit back for 20-30 seconds and watch the cursor slowly perform the movement.
Using a mouse to do the same is instantanious.
I've tried disabling the Intel GPU, disabling Windows Ink on the Wacom options for the Adobe apps, I've updated drivers since the issue, and I've tried pulling my hair out. Nada.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Did a few test , PS 25.7 with Wacom pro pen 2, either with Cintiq or Intuos pro and no lag when using free transform or anything involving dragging....
I presume you have the latest Wacom driver update and your GPU...

its only happening when using a modifier with a dragging action. and it can be sooooo slow to catch up.

Is it just with the tablet or with a mouse as well?

Mouse + modifiers is OK, no issues, so I'm currently using that instead of the Wacom when it comes to those tasks.

The problem now seems to affect Illustrator too and occasionally that includes mouse + modifier + drag = huge lag.

Same here. It started after a Photoshop update the last april. Strong lag when using Free Transform with Alt+Shift. "Strong" means 20-30 seconds waiting for the bounding box to reach the cursor.
It only happens with Wacom tablet (usb, not bluetooth). Mouse works well.
It happens on very large PSB, 16bit files.
Tried a million of easy fixes/properties like Wacom settings, Ink&Touch settings, Brush Settings in Photoshop.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7820X CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3601 Mhz, 8 core, 16 logic processors, 128Gb RAM, nvidia GeForce RTX 2070. PS, Wacom and Nvidia drivers updated.

Same here :-((((( After a bit searching the web, it seems that this issue concerns only Wacom with PS(?) ... Can someone confirm this?
