I was so excited when I bought a new toy - Touchscreen Laptop (HP 360 Envy Convertible) with Windows 10. WOW! What fun it is to use.
Then, to help me with editing (frequency separation, sparkling eyes, etc etc), I lashed out & bought a Stylus (Wacom Bamboo Tip). The stylus works great EVERYWHERE - except Adobe Products. I've spent days & days searching the forums & tried all the suggested work arounds (I think). Things I've tried include:
- Waiting for hours to "Live Chat" with someone from Adobe - SO LUCKY I pay a monthly subscription for their help!!!!
- Adding this "string" to CMD reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pen /v LegacyPenInteractionModel /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
- Creating a Text File inside Photoshop (& Lightroom Folders) PSUserConfig.txt
- Mucked around with Windows Ink
- Turned off Graphics Processor button
- Downloaded the KB........... Update patch
....... I'm nearly bald from all the hair I've torn our, please help

I do not believe your laptop has Pen support. You can use a stylus with a touch screens. A stylus is a finger substitute they have no buttons or pressure support. You can only use touch gestures with Photoshop using Touch support. If you want to use a pen with your laptop you need to add some device like a wacom tablet. A wacom Bamboo INK styus is a Pen device and would to be use with a laptop like a Microsoft Surface or an other make Laptop that has active pen support.

Hey Jack,
thanks for your help. Though, II'm not sure if you're correct? When I was looking at upgrading Laptops, the salesman was a Photography & bragged that it was a great laptop that could work with a Stylus only. As you can see from the screenshots below, it works with Paint & it has the Pen Tool in the Task Bar???
If it didn't have the Pen Tool or worked in Paint, I think I would agree with you, but????

Applications other the Paint support finger painting using touch displays. Photoshop does not it only supports touch display gestures. Photoshop Does support the use of Pens your Laptop does not have Active Pen support. A touch stylus is not a pen just looks like one.
I can Finger paint on my surface pro using its keyboard touch pad for it has buttons and work like a mouse. Your laptop has a touch pad finger paint on it..
