No way to save as Webp, neithe in SaveAs or SaveACopy.
Enabling / Disabling the legacy SaveAs option doesn't change this.

Installing the plugin from Google fixes this, but should not Webp be natively supported in recent Photoshop versions?

Ok, I've found out.
Installing the plugin, the option to save as Webp appears in the list, but trying to use it gave an error, that allowed me to find the problem, because it says that the original image is not in RGB.

Making it RGB let the SaveAs webp option appear even without the plugin.

@Cammagno

In addition to being an RGB format, WebP also requires a bit depth of 8 or 16 bpc, so if a doc is 32 bpc WebP will not be listed.
