Hello!

I have been having an issue with photographs of a towel. There have been some weird lines and warping showing up. Sometimes it shows up in the thumbnails, sometimes in large view. I don't think it's moire but definitely similar. Any thoughts?

I have attached the original image and some screenshots of what I'm talking about.

Thank you!

When viewed at 100%, the first two screen shot display identically.

100% is the only view that gives you a true impression of the image, any other view will be inaccurate because the image has been scaled. This is especially important when evaluating sharpness and noise.

Different applications use different algorithms for smoothing and sharpening when scaling an image, and the image may also change appearance at different magnifications in the same application.

So always evaluate the image at 100%, and if you export for screen use, export to exactly the size you need, or at least not a lot bigger than what you need. (but with today's responsive web, image scaling in browsers is hard to avoid)

Thank you for your answer! Do you have any other suggestions on how to solve this problem? I am shooting these images for a client and we have tested a few different shots and edits but with no results. The images continue to have lines on the Amazon listing.

Can you provide a link to the Amazon listing?

And does Amazon provide any guidelines or requirements for image pixel dimensions?
